The City School, Civil Lines Branch, celebrated Grandparents Day here on Friday. Children participated with enthusiasm to show their immense love and care for their grandparents. Souvenirs were made by children and given to grandparents at the entrance. The performance by students on the importance of family and wonderful song performances by children left the audience awestruck.
The pick of the programme was the performance of ‘Bulbulay’ prepared by children. Grandparents really enjoyed each and every act of the skit. Fashion parade, plays like ‘Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Ginger Bread Man’ were also performed.
A huge crowd of grandparents, who were escorted to school by the mothers, participated vigorously. In the end of the programme, a special ‘thank you’ note was delivered to the guests by Headmistress Sumaira Shafiq.
All grandparents appreciated the efforts of Headmistress Sumaira Shafiq and Senior Mistress Ayesha Mazhar, all staff and especially the participating children.
