 20 killed in bus, van collision near Thatta
By Salman Mushtaq  At least 20 people were killed and more than a dozen wounded in tragic road accident at National Highway near Thatta, report said on Sunday. The incident took place near Gajjo area when a speedy passenger van, coming from Karachi, collided head-on with a Karachi-bound bus, killing more than 20 people and injuring some 25 others. DCO Jaffar Abbasi, while confirming the death toll, told a private TV channel that 20 people were received dead at District Hospital Makli, adding that 25 injured have been shifted to Gharo Hospital, three of them were critical. Police, rescue teams and area people reached the accident site and pulled the dead bodies from the crashed vehicles. BZUPAGES |
